You need to have it installed if you use IE. But if you use Mozilla or Opera it should show up as I think those have separate Japanese language files.

Well...I think the Japanese signs of these words are the same as Chinese characters.
So...
hope-->希望
pain-->痛苦
love-->愛
freedom-->自由
peace-->和平
