As I said we gonna se ATI's 12x1 vs NVIDIA's 8x1 in DX9.0 ATI winner.
in Doom 3 and the games based on Doom 3 ATI"s 12x1 vs NVIDIA's 16x0 NVIDIA Winner....

Overalll, I think the purchase of either card will be a good investment for the future games. The benchmarks will tell the final truth :)

You are right because the inquirer released another set of rumors?

The Inquirer operates on a hit and miss policy. Making a 100 guesses until they are actually right. This has much chance of being right as the 16 pixel pipeline does as far as the inquirer is concerned.

Anyway According to this article the Nv40 has 8 Vertex Pipelines. Which IMO is incredibly unlikely.

In the Inquirer's opening paragraph, they said that it was not verified and that they don't have an NDA agreement, as in they aren't in Nvidia's trust, and they "figured it out" so you might as well say the NV40 is anywhere from 4X2 to 16X2, as no one has any idea.

Absolutely but the rumour boyz have rubbished the inkwell. The rumour boyz get more accurate info than the inkweel methinks.

We all just have to wait till 13th..April

Previously, nVidia stated their card did 8 pixels per clock to mislead people into thinking their card was an 8x1 card instead of a 4x2. If they state the NV40 does 16 pixels per clock, expect something fishy. Remember, these rumors were used to mislead people during the NV30 launch and nVidia kept a clean nose through it because they never said it has eight pipelines in the first place. Don't believe the news unless it comes straight from nVidia themselves.

Or they're just dumb. :p I mean, it's one thing if English isn't your first language, but otherwise there's no excuse for it. Perhaps some people better go re-take fifth grade English.

Or they're just dumb. :p I mean, it's one thing if English isn't your first language, but otherwise there's no excuse for it. Perhaps some people better go re-take fifth grade English.I won't pretend that misspellings/poor grammar don't irk me. However, I don't think that doing so qualifies you for being "just dumb". This kind of comm is very informal and rapid in nature...so some people just don't care here but do care in other (more professional) situations. :) Think about it Sat...I don't think either one of us would like to see an English profressor drop in here and read some of our posts.

On the other hand, I work with some very intelligent people but their spelling/grammar is horrendous...I wear a lot of hats at work and one of them is "onsite proofreader". :p I mean it is b-a-d...embarrasing. One guy was emailing a client yesterday and needed to use the word "sense"...he spelled it "since". :D

My spellings pretty bad so I can't comment.

However making up words is pretty funny, this is on the Ramada Jarvis web site :-

"unsteamupable mirror"

Do they mean condensation proof ?
