My card has been flashed from a FX5900NU to a 5950U, i did the registry tweaks to bring up all of my agp settings and info and things and under AGP Rate for operating system it says the max agp is 2X and im running WindowsXP, i have all acceleration set to the max and everything is turned on and XP still wont say 8X! I still get the very high frame rates of about 200FPS at max settings in games (1600x1200 etc.) but im assuming that im losing a frame or two without the os running at 8X heres a screenshot....

try reinstalling nforce agp drivers

The board is an asus, not an nforce

My setup shows the same thing (specs in the sig). I think it's a Windows thing, but I'm pretty sure the hardware is using 8x mode.

Cheers,

I'd suggest using a program to determine it for you...

Try WhatCPU and CPU-Z...

Benchmarks such as 3DMark03 should be able to tell you as well...

don't do anything, the thumbnail image you give clearly shows your setup is running at 8x. the fact that it also shows your OS at 2x is a driver problem. Mostly happens with people who have 8x cards and mobo's. I have no problem with my setup of 4x mobo and 8x card (5900nu flashed to 5950u), where everthing, including OS, defaults to the 4x of my mobo!!
