usb problems

i have mandrake community 10
running on

xp2000 cpu
512 mb ram
700gb harddrive space

2 usb 2.0 hubs
4 usb 1.01 hubs
5 external 120gb usb 2.0 hard drives
1 usb 2.0 hp laser 1500 printer
plus loads of other gadgets

my problem is the usb's dont seem to work
they are all in the hard drake devices list but i cant get the printer
to print and i cant see anything on the drives
any ideas

use kernel 2.4? :)

Yeah, if i recall that uses the 2.6 kernel, and i couldnt get any of my usb stuff to work with it heh.
