Nvidia Bought

There was a thread in here about Nvidia getting bought out by ATI. I look at it, it gives me a link, it leads to an article and a forum topic on another site all about it. The press release was dated today. Now suddenly, the entire thread was deleted! Gone! Is Nvidia trying to cover something up?! Does anyone still have the link of the site with the article? (on a public computer, won't let me access the history)

P.s. If this thread gets deleted by someone besides me, then I'll take it as a big fat "YES" from Nvidia that they got bought. The article said this will all take effect in June

first of all why would you think that just because it got deleted, that nvidia has been bought, i'm sure its just because the mods didn't want a million posts with lots of flaming and bs in it *correct me if i'm wrong, and its not like they work for nvidia.....or do they.. :retard: lol :)

Ha ha I didn't think Nvidia would delete someone's post just because it would cause a bunch of replys to be posted. Look at the post about the "nude dawn trick". That thing is getting nude pictures posted, and it has become the biggest thread out there. Thats proof enough for me Nvidia wouldn't be deleting a thread just becuase it would cause flaming and a lot of posts.

If it was an April fools joke, then why would the news release be dated March 31st instead of April 1st? Lol. Oh well. I still think it has a chance of being trtue. Even though the posted purchase price was 1 billion dollars, and that seems a bit low. Tech TV was bought for 300 million, a muti-billion dollar company might require a bit more money to be bought

Market-wise, they're both pretty equivalent right now. There are different levels of cash and value that can be brought to bear, and different levels of debt... But they're pretty square at the moment.

Either way, one can't buy the other. Get swallowed up by Intel, IBM, or Microsoft...? Sure! But they won't be buying out each other until someone's product lines have been failing for years. (And even then they'd likely just retreat from one sector to redouble efforts in another to recoup.)
