Rojakpot has a leaked sample of the NV40 & they did a fast review & some benchmarks for it againest the current performance leaders , the ATI 9800XT & NVIDIA 5950U .
the memory was a GDDR3 clocked at a whooping 700Mhz! (1400mhz effective).


Halo (DX9.0):
9800XT = 65.3
5950U = 71.5
NV40 = 154.6

Gun Metal (DX9.0):
9800XT = 39.6
5950U = 45.6
NV40 = 72.4

UT2003 (DX8.0):
9800XT = 283.5
5950U = 296.3
NV40 = 463.4

Wolf : ET (OpenGL) :

9800XT = 103.6
5950U = 120.5
NV40 = 137.6

coz pics of the card in questions is of a nv35/nv38 card...and look at the category which Adrian has slotted tha rticle in, HUMOUR ;) Big Clue.

also if u highlight the pictures/images and look at the links...it says "Review/april04_joke/"

Definately a fake. Although it would be nice if it were true. We'll just have to wait 12 days and find out.

The 5950 beating the XT made it a dead giveaway as a fake. :)

Yeah do you think they would disasemble a sample? It's 01/04/2004the card uses only one molex power connector from what we have seen it now uses 2!

yea it got me too. but then I realize theres no way the fx5950 is eating a 9800xt, it shouldnt even eat a 9700 pro in dx9
