I made fun of the guys at the last LAN-party ( local....not nV News ) for wanting to play Q3 ( even though I like it )...

I was saying how ironic it is that we buy all these expensive high-end components to go and end up playing a multi-year old game with mediocre graphics... :p

I think UT2003 could work as well as BF1942 or ( my favorite ) Return to Castle Wolfenstein...

Well, quake 3 really kills my card... most likely because im on a geforce 2 mx400, which im not happy about. Anyway... ut2k3 would be a good choice (cause of bomb-running and instagib :) ).
sof2 and rtcw would also be good choices.

huh? rather have ut2k3 on a gf2 mx 400 than quake 3? your card should be good to handle quake 3..heck sof2 and rtcw are all more demanding than quake 3. quake 3 is one of the most compatible 3d games out there.

Btw, i get 15 fps average in ut2k3 on my preferred settings, 1024x768. and 60fps in q3 at the same res.
