Should I use the onboard sound or my Sound Blaster Live card?
*Does intergrated sound cards tax the CPU/System?
*Will the onboard Sound be better than my SBLive?

My first time building a computer.

The onboard sound should be comparable to the SB Live. Do yourself a favor and spend another $80 and buy an Audigy 2 ZS. It won't tax your CPU and its quality pretty much blows away all other cards.

Integrated sound cards almost always rely on the host CPU for some processing capabilities. When I switched from the integrated audio on my nForce2 to my Audigy, I noticed gaming performance increases of up to 20% in some cases (mostly with older games).

And me-oh-my yet another Chicago-an on the boards. Welcome :D
