We may see it scores points is 12510, especiallye is obtains 70fps in Game Test 4 Mother Nature the average result, because this is the 3DMark 03 computations scores points a biggest test project which the proportion occupies, therefore, NV40 obtained 70fps in this project the good result then to prove why the total score could surpass 10000 to divide.

it's fake...look at test 1

why?

Test 1 is heavily CPU dependent...

Yes, but it is also very DX7/ older generation dependent.. I get 50 fps more by just oc'ing my video card.

Also.. they could be using an oc'd a64.. who knows :)

Isnt that really close to the 3dmark03 score the INQ was giving out? The INQ was saying 12,535

Why they never finish test completeley , other scores like fillrate are interesting also :retard:

Well no standard benchmarks have ever got that high in GT1

The only benchmark to exceed it was from a 3.12ghz athlon 64 in 320x240 which got 510.4fps

So with say a 2.8ghz+ athlon 64 its just bordering on feasibility, but more likely its just made up.

:retard: Do you know what's funny here, dude?
Overclocked r360 almost managed the test score of NV40 in all other tests PS2.0 :) and that's telling me that r420 will own NV40.

70FPS in mother nature test is too low...

Everything is so heavily overclocked, they were lucky to just get the game tests done and save the results before everything started to melt. Probably took them 20 tries to get a complete run as well.

I dunno about that. A 9800XT@stock (412/365) gets ~35 FPS in nature, so if this score isnt' a fake i say 70 FPS is not bad at all. :)

But i think you were right before about this being a fake, 450 FPS in gt1 gives it away. :o
I doubt that the supposed kick ass fillrate will make such a difference in that test.

macci used a P4EE@4.5 GHz and "only" managed 350 FPS..

isnt test 1 gpu intensive the way dragothic is? that means it responds a bit to faster cpu but most of the gains are from teh gpu which the nv40 delivers. also that 12k score could be on beta drivers, the final drivers may score even higher if thats really 16 pipes

You don't have to do all tests if you have the pro version of 3dmark, more likely they were lazy than the card melting.

Game 1 is cpu dependent and favours Intel.

The ratio's of the scores match a "real" result.

I am not saying this is a true score but you cannot dismiss it out of hand.

Andy

You dont have to do all the tests even if you own the downloaded version.. you just need to finish the first 4 tests to get a score... check my sig, none of my 3dmark scores are finished.

When I get my NV 40, I will post some fraps numbers for Far Cry and some IQ shots on very high for all.

mmm.. im looking at something here... :)

i think there is a big chance that those scores are real.. gametest 2/3/4 looks ok.. 2xtimes the scores of the 9800xt at retail speed its not bad at all. (unless the Nv40 was overcloked ) what im observing here is that everytime some one post benchmarks of the NV40 in what seems "CPu limited" test..
ex.. (UNrealt2004 bootmatch ,3dm2k3 game1) the scores seems to high to be true. are we missing something here? maybe those are fake ,but if not ,then there is something ,(some new tech) that may offload work from the CPu ,or that help it ,to work with more efficiency. possible (T-&-L 2) or maybe the Nv40 have also a small processor . :) seems very unlikely ,but it will be nice if it is true. :)

Meh Ill believe the scores when I have the card in my hand and see the IQ is perfect... Untill then I don't believe anything anyone says.

When i get my NV40 , i'll build a new PC for it first , then i'll let the benchmarks begin ! :D

All you need is to replace your card. I would have for r420 and compare it. NV40 is going to be fast, but r420 could even faster and Nvidia reaction would be (aaa)

450 fps on gametest 1 would require an over 5ghz P4, over 4ghz AthlonXP, and probably about the same for an AthlonFX.

Noone has EVER oc'd these processors that high.

Although both the 420 and nv40 are going to make 10,000-12,000 3dmarks the norm, those shots are old grabs from a discussion on using time based cheats for inflating 2003 scores(from a different forum)... some of you should get around more :)

Still trying to figure why people give a toot about that "benchmark".

Errr, that's kind of beside the point, but okay. My point was that even the highest clocked computers on Futuremark's page only reach about 350fps in that test. And those are like 4.3ghz P4's. Not even 3ghz Athlon64's reach 350fps in that test.
