I'm here hoping to find info about it...of course. I'm really impatient so the waiting is killing me.

Wait I just realized something.... Im going by eastern standard time and nVidia is located in san fransisco meaning that there is actually 3 more hours till we find out :(

Do you people honestly think that NVIDIA themselves will be making an announcement at midnight PDT? Like most sane people, those folks are probably in bed. How about we wait until say...9 a.m., possibly noon?

thats my time :D...

But I'm not sure if nVidia sets NDA's by their time, they might just set it for the day. Since, of course not everyone that recieves a review sample lives in San Fransisco.

Well, I had hoped to find people jumping the gun or announcements like the gigabyte one (before calling it a night...which is probably going to be soon unfortunately).

Then its back to Ati just cause I know they are good at ps2 so performance wouldnt be an issue. I would laugh my arse off if they both ended up being 8x2 cards lol

Even funnier if they both ended up to be 4x2 cards, with the 6800 Ultra having The Dustbuster 2, and clocked at 3.4gHz :rofl

I wonder how long it will be before gfx cards core speeds are the same as desktops. It has to happen sometime :nana:

Final specs?

I was hearing people say that the ultra and non ultra only have a 50 mhz difference in speed besides the extra 128 mb of ram. Is this true?

It's possible... Ultra/Non Ultra models are usually very close in clockspeeds.

probably soon, since intel is giving up on the mhz (or is it ghz?) race

Well we still have a ways to go... since GPU speeds are barely reaching 500mhz

^ I honestly dont think that 4ghz will limit anyone anytime soon. I believe that cpu companies should come up with other features that would revolutionize the industry instead of trying to just taking little steps.

Its now midnight and there are 80 people here. LAN parties don't start getting good till it is late anyway.
