Well I'm back! I wound up selling that ATI 9200 SE for 90 bucks. (I couldn't beleive it myself) I purchased the ATI 9600 Pro (Sapphire) and i'm having some issues. I'm trying to play Counterstrike and the gameplay is very jittery. The screen tears like crazy. I'm so used to using the Nvidia control panel, i'm not sure what to tweak with an ATI. My FPS are constantly dropping. I'm using the Catalyst Drivers, version 04.1. When playing games, I run them in 1024x768 (Same resolution as my desktop). I have my refresh rate on 85 Htz, which is as high as it will go.

My specs are [Kind of old]:

P3 1GHZ
ASUS CUSL2 815e Mobo
256 Ram
350 Power Supply
Soundblaster Audigy

Thanks!

Hi,

Ok, did you turn any AA or AF on? If so disable it

If you dont know if you turned it off, go to the ATi Control Panel, then go to the 3D tab.

Click on the OpenGL radio button, and make sure the slider is in the middle (balanced)

If your runing CounterStrike in Direct3D mode do the same for the Direct3d Radio button.

Also, there has been some complains about Half-Life based games and ATi preformance, it seems to only effect some people. So maybe try switching the render mode, for example if your running it in OpenGL change it to Direct3D and see what happens.

If all that dosent work, you can try upgradeing to the lateist drivers from http://www.ATI.com but id mess with settings first.
