adaptec easy cd creator

i was running windowsme on my system and bought the windowsxp upgrade...now when i try to run my adaptec easy cd creator 4.02 version, i get following error "this product needs to be reinstalled before it will work correctly on windowsXP " my system is : Dell Demension 4100 ~P3~1.0GHZ~256MB RAM~20GB HD~Geforce 3 Ti500 (64MB)~with 3082 Driver's~48X CD/DVD Drive~24/10/40 CDRW~SB Live Value~WinXP Home edition upgrade~~~~~3DMark 2nd Edition score=8,550 any clues how i fix this? isnt adaptec 4.02 compatable with winxp? or do i nee xp drivers or something?

Easy CD Creator 4 is not compatible with XP. You need to upgrade to version 5 (basic or platinum). Google is your friend if you want to download, ummm, "extended demo" versions of this program.

I'm using ECDC 5 Platinum (a legitimate copy) with the latest patch 5.3.1.154 SP4 under XP Pro SP1 and it's working perfectly. I have a Plextor 24/10/40 CD-RW drive.
