Lately I've seen some things posted that gave me the urge to severely violate the posters (er, just the urge. I'm generally sane. generally). Since I don't really want to contribute to anarchy in the forums, I just decided to blow off steam with this (basically pointless, other than relieving my urge) post.

Anyway, I'm sure many of you know the type of feeling / situation I'm talking about. Some people are holding a discussion on a topic that interests you, and someone posts something you find totally inane or even personally offensive, many times trying to make it sound as if they even have a clue, when in fact they don't. These same individuals can be very abrasive during the course of the topic, and end up making your blood boil a little.

Um.. I'll be back later. Time to go get some air. Thanks for reading. :p

PS- There, that feels a bit better already, and hopefully done without adding fuel to the fires that heated me up in the first place. :D

My friend, we have all been there during the course of our tenure at these forums. There are going to be people who, while normally good intentioned, will try to aggravate us.

Regrettably it's the nature of the beast. :(

Best bet is to kick back with a cold one, turn on a hockey game and enjoy. :D

that's the internet in a nutshell for ya. you just have to hope that there is more good than bad, or you just let darwinism take it's effect and wait for the mods to stop said individuals :D

honestly i'm with you though. i hate seeing a thread degenerate into a bickering ICQ type of back and forth insult throwing. hence the reason why i limit the number of forums i read.

The people doing this, will most likely have the most posts. Seeing at first chance they HAVE to post something weither they know what they are talking about or not.

I have seen many threads turn to froth after some lamer or someone vindictive decides to drop by. The vindictive type just adds to the problem and the lamer is who contributes and starts the problem.

Best thing IMO is to report posts :)
I have been moderating these boards lately using a special tool called "report this post to a moderator". :)

Very usefull tool indeed.
