you don't do much in the bench but it does give you a general idea of performance...
notice with the min settings there is a lot of cpu limitation...

So, how does this actually play on your system? Those scores aren't exactly what would be called playable on those 2 tests...
Hey Saz, not to nitpick...but I never do reviews with all that kind of crap running in the background...whenever you get a chance could you run this again with only Far Cry running? :)
:)
I know... I don't bench like that either normally BUT I have a coupla BIG torrents coming down and I didn't wanna disconnect (only one seed for both :( )
I'll run it again in a coupla days..
the rest of the stuff was running so I could keep up with stuff... honestly speaking I don't think there was that much of a drop-off though I don't doubt it did indeed affect the performance :D

/Me still wonders how this is running if those benchies are indicative... If this is typical of game play, I'd pass on the game prior to an upgrade :D
Is this as unplayable with a r3xx as these scores indicate?
I have no probs running it @ 10x7 res smooth as hell... all effects maxed :)

k, thx Them benchies were getting me to thinking. Lets just say I was browsing around the store of late, but wasn't sure on the current gen of games and my comp.
If your AIW 9700 can't play something, it's a sure bet my Radeon 9600 wouldn't handle it better...

I am actually playing the game at 1280x1024 4xAA and 4xAF everything maxed and it runs pretty damn smooth. I like it :D
That last demo is kind of weird. It runs faster as **** but shows a small fps. Weird.
heh.. its nice to see my cpu is giving my gameplay a decent boost :D

Hi guys!
v1.2 is out!
http://www.hardwareoc.hu/index.php/p/download/st/.-download--hardwareoc-HardwareOC_Far_Cry_Benchmark.html
BenchEmAll Results using its default demo with max settings and then custom max settings so AA and AF were applied.
6800GT no AA/AF, 2xAA/4xAF, 4xAA/8xAF | X800 Pro 2xAA/4xAF, 4xAA/8xAF Results (http://members.cox.net/regowa/FarCryComparison.htm)
I just created a chart since it was easier to compare (did this for something else).
