Where is it? And will it be socket 754? I'm thinking Gigabyte Nforce3 250 & A64 3200 (1meg L2 is sexy) for my next upgrade.

The pick of the litter right now appears to be the MSI Neo K8N Neo Platinum. Have you guys check out the reviews (http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.html?i=2036) of this one yet? I'm very tempted to pick this one up now because of all the o'cing features & the board layout. The perf for each mb will be relatively the same due to the on chip mem ctrler. This time around, its all about features :cool2:

link doesn't work for me? Also NForce 3 250GB doesn't appear in the chipset 'search' list yet.

blah, I'd pass on the Chaintech, its missing a couple of the key features that make the NForce3 250 chipset great and seriously lack in the o'c dept. As soon as the MSI mb's become availible, I'm getting one probably w/ a 3000+ or 3200+.

just got a response from zipzoomfly.com:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting ZipZoomFly.com!

According to our purchasing department, the MSI K8N NEO motherboard will
not be available until sometime around June. Also note that our company
currently does not carry the Epox line of motherboards but will forward
your request for future consideration. Feel free to contact us if you have
any further questions.

Sincerely,
ZipZoomFly
Hopefully it will be available sooner elsewhere, although ZZF was one of the first places that had the Chaintech NF250..

No need to wait for the 250 to arrive, just go with a Via board instead. :)
The first reviews haven't impressed me at all. Sure, locked pci/agp bus is pretty cool, but if you get a A64 3200+ it's pretty damn fast already, no need to OC it.

The nForce board has some appeal the VIA ones don't though, mainly the hardware firewall.

yea don't get me wrong Via's new chipset is very good but, the nforce 250gb is loaded w/ too many features to refuse. Perf across various a64 chipsets are gonna be similiar though.

I thought socket 939 should be releasing soon?

Well MSI's webiste says available in May for the K8N Neo. I think June is a bit too long. Maybe I'm just a wishful thinker....

The 939's should be available in early June, if I understand correctly.
