wth we havent even seen 600,700 and 800 yet. how the hell could they say there going to offer 2000mhz (1000 mhz physicaly) if people cant even get there hands on the three other speeds??? it also seems that the nv40 struggled to get 600 mhz's .... here!!! So that means
2GHz x 256 bit bus 64 GBps
can you say?
2GHz x 512 bit bus 128 GBps :screwy:

all that bandwith is overkill for todays 16 pipeline cards, call me when they move to 32 pipes then I hear 512 bits will be used. just cause samsung gets 1GHz ram doesnt mean they have enough, could be a handful of engineering samples and it takes years to work out good yields

I dunno if 64GB/s would be overkill for NV40, with ~35GB/s it is definitely bandwidth starved. That's only like 15% more RAM bandwidth than the old GeforceFX 5950 had.

Is this system memory or video memory?

Yeah but the Geforce FX was heavily fillrate staved so bandwith makes little diffrence.

this is graphics memory

Not true for some of the 128bit parts, ie 5800/ overclocked 5700U.

6800U us bandwidth starved and if anyone offers faster memory on their cards they will have a big advantage.

A fall refresh with 2GHz memory would be nice :]
