Hi everybody,

I'd like some advice/help on my new video card.

Basically I need to able to maximise my desktop across all four monitors, so when I maximise a application it goes across all monitors, and not just single monitor (as it does at present).

I've tried the 'Horizontal Span' setting, but that noly goes across two monitors...

Does anyone know if it's possible?

I'll try and give as much info as I can regarding my system, but please bear with me, as I'm not technical at all...
:)

It works for the windows... but when I'm Director, and then got to Full Screen Show mode, it still only fills the one screen.

:(

So close!

AFAIK it should be possible to span the application on all monitors using nview, but as I don't have a card that can output to 4 monitors I really can't tell you how.

btw do you have the latest drivers? nview 3.0 has new features that should make it easier to do what you want.

Ah i havent used that program.

But here is what 'may' work.

You may beable to run all 4 monitors as one large desktop. eg One big framebuffer mode.

I dont have a nvidia card so I dont exactly know how to set it up, if it is possible with multiple video cards.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do...

:(

I used to have a Matrox card, which i had no problem with (when working with Director), but thought it was time to upgrade, to gte all the benefits the nVidia cards give...

Must admit, I'm really stumped on this one...

It might be a case of taking the card back if I can't figure it out...

What is director? A video editing application? If it is, there might be a problem stretching the video overlay over all 4 displays. Definately contact nVidia on this one.

BTW: Matrox's were famous for their video editing prowess. If you aren't doing any 3d work, you might want to stick with them.

the package Macromedia Director.

Basically we use ti for conferences (like a fancy PowerPoint), but you need to go into Full Screen Show mode, whch basically acts as a 'Maximise' setting for the app, but also takes the top menu bar off, so you just see the 'stage' of the show. The truoble is, we're producing shows at 3200x1200 pixels (acroos two screens/projectors). This is why I to over-ride the inbuilt 'maximise-to-the-single-screen' setting, and get it to full all the available area.
