Just wondering:

How fast is a floppy's transfer rate?

and...
In order to compare it... how fast is usb2.0?

Thanks in advance.

USB 2.0 = 480Mbits\sec
USB 1 = 1.5Mbits\sec-12Mbits\sec (i think)
Firewire = 400Mbits\sec

IDK about floppies tho.... I guess "slow" would be the best way to explain it.... probably about 128Kbits\sec considering how long it takes to fill a full 1.4Mb floppy.

Heh, the reason i know the above is Ive been practicing for my A+ certification exam and the practice tests ive been taking seem to talk about transfer rates a lot :p

Erm, i think a lot of the new ones have jacked up transfer speeds, so a new good floppy drive would be about 500 kbit a sec

Thanks... great help... and pretty useful for any upcoming exams when they ask about data tranfers!
