Watching video on TV with a GeForce4 420Go

I can't get the video to display on my tv. I have it hooked up correctly thru S-Video and I can see my desktop, but the actual video files : mpeg; avi; dvd; ect won't play. I know on my previous computer there was a way to switch which was primary and which was secondary, but on this only seem to be able to clone it...

Any suggestions on what I should try?

Put the Windows Start bar on the SVideo port display and you should be to see video and DVDs on that display.
