Is this MP3 / WMA (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=55-102-115&depa=10) overkill for a good player. Trying to come up with graduation gift ideas for my son. Is that a rechargeable battery?

i think its good. you can use alkaline batteries maybe apart from the ones that come with it that are rechargable...maybe...
