Hey, i want to install NT4 on a laptop.

I was wondering whether NT4 supports Infrared and Advanced Power Management.

Does it?

Or do i haft install w2k on a p150? It has 98 right now, and im hating it.

I think NT4 is not a good laptop OS. IIRC, APM may be the thing that is missing. I know when win2000 was released, better handling of laptops was a marketing point.

My dad's old PII laptop from work had NT 4.0 on it and it seemed to work reasonably well. I'd be willing to bet the features you're looking for were implemented in one of the later service packs. 'Course you could always go with the trial and error method and see where that gets 'ya. ;)

Win2k works on the laptop.. just not well.

It's a p150 with 32 megs of ram!

Thats why im thinking of going for NT4

Bah, ill triple-boot win98/nt4/2k for a while and see where it gets me
