But the point is that the recommend retail price for the X800Pro is 399:

It might be higher at the moment as the demand exceeds supply which gives vendors the opportunity to raise prices on a temporary basis. Athlon suggested that Ati already lost, because Ati would give a suggested retail price of 499 for the pro and 599 for the XT platinum which is flat out wrong!
