View Full Version : First pic of X800 XT
Good to see a single slot cooler and single molex on the X800
Judging from that picture you just posted, you'd have to be crazy to wedge a PCI card in there. It wouldn't surprise me if it almost touched the heatsink.
Seriously, who actually puts a PCI card right next to an AGP card ?
I couldn't care less if it took 2 or even 3 slots up, as long as it offered something for it, i.e. better quieter cooling.

There are cases which don't have a PCI slot beside the AGP slot, Shuttle cases are a prime example of this, currently you can fit and use a 9800XT in there, so it's looking good to be able to use an X800 in there.

No one cares if a videocard uses a pci beside it anymore.
No one hardly ever needs all the pci slots now a days. ;)

And what about SFF systems? They are quite popular these days, I'm thinking of changing one of my cases over to a Shuttle G4, there's no room beside the AGP slot for a twin slot cooler so I would say plenty of people care.

My 'speculation' is that this video in connector is for use with Ati's upcoming HDTV Wonder. HDTW would require 142MB/sec of bandwidth across a bus that can only supply 133mb/sec to ALL devices and more like 80mb/sec in real world scenarios.
Of course, it still works across PCI, but thunked.
This may allow for a full res image (as if many people run at any resolution that shows more than 2880 by 2160 :retard: )
I would 'speculate' that this design allows the HDTV wonder based on the classic PCI bus to use the 266MB/sec upstream (if nothing is being written downstream) of AGP 8x.

The x800 BETTER not cheat on the AF, or i wanto know who is responsible for breaking it! upgraded to a 9600 for blurrier textures. joohooo.

The yellow connector is for A/V.
The card will consume as much as an 9800XT, ~80W max.
Power Supply: Because the X800 XT has 28% fewer transistors, and because ATI is using TSMC's low-k dielectric manufacturing process, the X800 XT's peak power draw of 65-watts is a little more than half that of the GeForce 6800 Ultra (110-watts).Cool, was even less :lol2:

Where is XP1800's "I was totally wrong!" post? ;)

How much does this X800XT cost around $600?
At this time,gameve.com (http://www.gameve.com/gve/store/ProductDetails.aspx?sku=VC-ATI-X800) the X800 Pro is $508...
What does a postcount of 350+ on www.nvnews.net make you? A highly educated Yup with a slight interest in graphics hardware?:spank:
:bash:
So whats your point? :)
Just because i post here at nvnews i'm an nvidiot?
I just think that being a die hard fanboy is a waste of time. I've been one myself so i know how stupid it is, believe me.
I used to defend the Radeon 8500 so hard it actually made me sick. (crazy)
The damn discussion forums are not good for your health, i learned that the hard way.
Do it come with a single molex? No but a bit more than that!
It come with a molex and a floppy connectors, that 2 connectors.
I think X800 XT power consuming equal both Radeon 9700 Pro and 9800 XT power add together.
This is trying to be nice. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
You got any information right?
