howdy,

I want to start getting into the overclocking scene and start playing with some settings. But the problem is I dont know what the hell im doin  I have an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ and I have just unlocked it. I think. I did the thing with the pencil and joined the L1 Bridges together in pairs. But what do I do after that. Do I have to get software to overclock the CPU or do it through the BIOS. My Bios is pretty basic as it is a fairly old board. Please help ive done my graphics card now i want to do the CPU.

Thanks

Rossco

I didnt think you could do the pencil trick on those XP cpus?

Anyways, if it is unlocked, its so that you can change the muliplier. It takes alot of testing to see if you lower the mutli and raise the FSB, or just raise the FSB.
