I use a desktop resolution of 1152x864 and just right now suddenly I could see some faint lines "flowing" upward. You can only really see the lines on a grayish/white background. These lines ONLY occur at that resolution. Right now, I am on 1280x1024. What is causing these lines?

But it only happens at that resolution and it only started just today. But yes, my speaker are quite close to the monitor.

Try messing with the refres-rate. Helped a friend of mine.
Also try DVI-out if you have that and a converter

grasping at straws here, but does your monitor have a 'moire' control? if so dink with that.

You can measure it by using this link, it's very helpful.

It would be my best guess that you need a higher Refresh Rate at 1152x864

if it was "electrical" you'd see it all the time.
