Anyone seen any ETA's on X800Pro's?
That what I'm going with.
Plus already seeing 340.00 price tags make this
card the one to beat. :D
Overclock the crap out of it and have almost 6800u performance
at 160 bucks less.

you already can buy them from CompUsa (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=313030&pfp=SEARCH) , fast shipping to ;)
Do you think its worth buying pro over XT later , i can't decide.... also 6800Ultra is far away its getting harder and harder to hold on
Edit: also at BestBuy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1082519264724&skuId=6628919&productCategoryId=cat01151&type=product)

It's going to be hard to beat the Pro for bang for the buck card.
Also I think if nvidia makes a 16 pipe lower clocked highend card
it should also be good.
One things for sure. Nvidia cannot touch ati on clock speeds right now.
I was reading somewhere the Pro could hit 570Mhz.
A 12 pipeline card at those clocks has got to have some power. "lol"
The stock Pro done well up against the 6800u in a lot of benchmarks.
I only use 1024 res with high AA/AF turned on. So a Pro will serve
me well. It has a lot more power than the 9800Pro-256 I had.
I'm glad I sold it for about what a X800Pro is going to cost.
I want to pick one up for the 340 mark I've seen listed. :D
After all I'll bet someone figures out how to turn on the other 4 pipe. ;)

The special "ATI.com" edition is already sold out.
Special edition? Is it just get your cards earlier then others edition or is it special as in tshirts etc edition?

Probably a combination of both. I know it had a t-shirt and other goodies, not anything I would consider worthy of a $50 price premium (US$449). Question is, how long before Best Buy, CompUSA and ATI.com can get the cards back in-stock to ship the next wave of orders?

Found good X800 Pros for 289GBP and cheap ones for 255GBP, and an expensive 6800U for 319GBP. I'll wait for the cheap 6800U index and then make up my mind. But I'm definitely not going for the X800 Pro, I'd rather spend the extra 20-30GBP more and go for an X800XT or a 6800U.

Based on the initial reviews, I personally think the X800 Pro is the better value. I know it has the four pipeline disadvantage, but it looks like the Pro will overclock very well to at least partially compensate. I'm not sure it's exactly worth $100 more to go with the XT at this point.

That's were I'm coming from.
It's not worth the extra money to me anyway. :)

Ok, sorry. I don't pay VAT since I'm importing, I might not even pay here unless they send it through customs that needs a sig. And it was Powercolor :)
But, I figured I can get it for 330 here instead of 300 from the UK and don't worry about the card getting lost or warranty.
It depends on the contry i think, the EU pays VAT the US don't not sure but some other countries might getway with it also.
I am outraged now after seeing the shipping overseas delivery ****ing well ourtraged, it costs them $26 for delivery right while if i ordered soemthing from the states after searching through HUNDREDS of stores it will cost be well over $100. I ordered a waterblock from the states and it cost me $80 for shipping ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If its sent through mail I think, you don't pay VAT since no one knows about it. Happened with a bios I ordered. They sent one through USPS, which was thought lost. Then they send one through FedEx. I paid a precentage on the value for the FedEx package but nothing for the first bios when it finally arrived through the mail.
Thats not on like we get ****ing raped no matter what we do, pay VAT or pay INSAINLY HIGH shipping prices. Sheez i am ordering a waterblock not a freaking car!

I sent my friend that lives in the UK a 9800 pro last year and he wasn't charged VAT. Just have someone you know in the U.S. label it as defective. Oh yeah I sent it via USPS (best service for sending to UK IMO) and it cost $25.
Yeah it was by UPS also and it then cost me £20 just to get the package off him lol. Sorry just venting. I don't know anyone in the states in order to buy and send etc have to go through the companies 'arm and a leg' method :(

So anyone saw any instock yet??
I asked at CompUSA today and they said the end of May. I'm hoping that is wrong though. A guy at this forum got his online order today so maybe retail will have them sooner rather than later.

I think BestBuy stores should have them on shelves tomorrow morning. Their truck comes in today at the local store and I would be surprised if they didn't get a few of them seeing as their website says they are shipping/in stock...
