Just got back for a bit from E3, (it's like 10 minutes from my house) thought I'd post some pics for you guys, this year looks to be one of the Best E3's I've attended, theres so many new titles, but the fun part is I got to play most of them :)

Nvidia was there, showing off their new GPU's

Yeah, it'd be nice to attend an event like that for once. They need to move these things to the east coast for a while. :)

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Of course I am interested in Doom 3, Half Life and and any SM3 running games, but if you could sneak some booth babes in I will not argue ...

;)

Can ANYBODY tell me how you get into E3? Everytime I read something about E3 it says its NOT open to the general public. :kill: Do I have to get a ticket or know someone in the game industry (or even sneak in?). (aaa) I have been seriously planning to go next year with my best friend to E3. I have also been on the oficial E3 website, and it DOESN'T help! The only thing I know for sure is that you MUST be at least 18. Which is not a problem. :smoking:

they had HalfLife2 DoomIII guarded, inside, no pictures were allowed for the public.

I'ts really hard to get in, but, ... I'll post a thread up later on how you might be able to pull it off.

They had playable demo's of Stalker, which Ran smooth as silk, although, I donno if they had ps3.0 running on it, isn't Stalker supposed to support it? I may have saw it and not known...was too busy shooting people and getting killed. :)

If I can't get into E3 next year, then maybe I will just go to CES or the Tokyo Game Show instead.

ok, the only way you can get in for free is if your part of an exibition, the press, or you work for the industry. This year it's been a bit harder to get in, not only did my boss have to fax them copies of all of our buisness cards, but also our buisness license (because last year people were just making their own buisness cards in photoshop)

however, theres no real way of them knowing your an actual game company, as long as the name is kinda generic.

if you don't have have job, I believe the price is 350.

kinda steep...

but, after to register and fax them that info they send you an e-mail with a bar code on it. instructions on what to do from there are in the e-mail.

Problem with E3 is, so many people would flood the area if it was open to the public, (for cheep) and people that actually work in the industry couldn't go.

it IS open to the public it's just expensive.

Jarred was kind enough to volunteer his photos that he took at E3 (nice quality shots BTW Jarred  ). I've got the first 20 photos uploaded and will continue to update this throughout E3. He took 55 photos from Day 1 so there are 35 more to come for just Day 1. Thanks again Jarred!

They should rotate it among LA, NYC and Chicago. You have all the major markets covered that way. But since a lot of development houses are probably based in California, I would have to put laziness at the top of the list as to why they don't move it. :p

I highly doubt NV would setup a 6800U display with stuff that lags n looks like crap. If they do they need a serious crash course in marketing. Rule #1, always make your product look the bizz!

I think he's spouting crap.

one guy says this;
I saw the Quadro FX 4000 at the 3DFestival Expo in Kopenhagen and i can also confirm that Nalu was not running smoothly as expected.

Everyone knows Quadro's dont perform as well as desktop cards in games/demos.

All of the games that I saw running at the nvidia both were running pretty smooth to me, I even got to PLAY stalker, which was AWSOME.

Anyone that says the Nv40 was "****ty" is full of it.
