nforce driver installation error under Debian

I compiled succesfully the nforce driver for linux and I tried installing the modules. the network module worked fine. but when installing the sound module an unresolved symbol error came up, about ac97_probe_codec.

If someone knows how to help me please write to me.

Screw the Nvidia-supplied nvaudio driver. Just compile the Intel810 sound chip support, because that's what Nvidia used for their chipset. Don't use a kernel older than 2.4.18, and you still need to go into the nvnet directory to make install the ethernet driver.

Have you guys been able to get the drivers installed for the grafix card? I havent been able to get X working in Debian or RH.
