Yeah I have the latest SP2 build 2126 and it has DirectX 9.0c. So all I need to get are Socket 939 motherboard, Athlon 64 and PCI Express Geforce 6900 Ultra. :D

Well you should test beta win sp with VMWare Workstation from now to test to make sure everything is fine then you can do the same way to install beta sp on your machine like I did.

Does anyone have a mirror where we can download the file? Bitdrizzle is too slow, and I can't get onto the 9down FTP.

Well I checked a sec ago and it seem still up and running. If you still cant get into FTP, you can download the torrent file from 9down http://download.9down.com/bt/Microsoft.Windows.XP.SP2.Build.2126__[www.9down.com].torrent
Bitdrizzle too slow for you? I use BiTornado 0.3.1 (http://bittornado.com/).

The 9down FTP works fine.
I just downloaded from there.
But, how to rip the DX 9.0C from the package?

Yea I'd much rather just install dx9c seperate cause I'm using a lot of hacked system files and ain't ready to update 'em for sp2 just yet.

The 9down FTP works fine.

Installed it in safe mode. Hasn't crashed anything yet. Everything runs fine though atleast. If not, I've got a system restore point. ;) BTW. The file can be found linked in the guru3d.com forums. Or the other Dx9c thread.

Hey dude, is your "directx.cpl" version 2126? I installed the SP2 and it didn't update that file and Dxdiag is complaining about it. Can you send me your directx.cpl if it is the new version so I can manually update it?

I got my Dx9c install from there. There are also a few fixes on that thread. That's what I used as well.

coo thx man. I have it working fine now, but the only thing I find is that my systray icons won't load on boot, and that's ONLY with DX9.0c installed. :screwy:
