8 Monitors in device manager

I have a pretty serious problem, i have a twin screen setup and in the device manager it's showing that i have 8 monitors, 4 for one screen (Plug and Play monitor) and 4 for the other (Default Monitor), i have deleted all the monitors thinking it would reset back to normal but it came straight back up with all 8 again, even before reseting the computer. any help with this situation would be helpful. Would this have something to do with the software i'm using? as i have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and this didn't change anything...?

I have exactly the same problem. There are 3 default monitors and 1 plug and play monitor in device manager. I tried to uninstall these 3 default monitors and they just come back after a reboot. Does anyone have know how to remove them?
