Because the time is urgent, it is not handy to do some further test on the board. It will go into detailed test in a few day later by this Chinese Site. Take the first glance at it!

Another thing, the 6800NU is 12ppc clocked at core 325MHz mem 700Mhz and gained the score of 8242. You can notice that the score on the front is 8647, which is clocked at core 350Mhz mem 800Mhz.

The test platform is(no overclocking) :
Pentium4 2.4B GHz,533MHz FSB
Abit IS7,865PE
Maxtor 40G 7200rpm
Greatwall 300W Power supply
512MB DDR400
ForceWare 60.85

Another keypoint is this board costs only 2499 RMB(< $299 USD). That is cheaper than ever thought!

It is regarded as the best Performance/Price Card nowadays.

If it can o/c to 400 mhz core reliably and 1 GHz memory then its definitely the best buy available. I'm gonna wait a little while longer till these things are released and in mass availability so it can be determined how well they o/c.

Hummm, no the non-U's won't come with 2 x DVI sockets then? Kinda disappointing.

Or is that photo a mock-up?

hmmmm. who in their right mind would disable fast writes on such a high end card??? even i use fast writes. it sure seems they were using el cheapo system to benchmark this thing...

I think that system used to bench it was perfect. Not everyone has a high end system (i.e. 3gHz+, 1 gig ram, etc.) and this show them how it performs on a system that's more to thier budget.

It performed better than I expected and a good price to boot. :)

This site also gave another reference score of X800Pro, which reached 8700 in 3DMark2003 powered by P4E 3.4GHz platform. Days later they will use P43.4E to do a thorough test on 6800NU!

Why people still take desitions based en 3dmark???

Wait till you see gaming benchmarks then you can have a better idea of how it will perform.

That's a great score for a $299 card.

It's not disabled. 3DMark is misreporting, as I've got the same problem with it showing as off on mine, but it shows enabled everywhere else. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the card itself, or the way that 3dMark is reading information (with the 6800 installed, that is).

So it is a 12pipe version?! ahh

Thanks for the info. With that said, 3dMark sucks... and they put constraints on nV and their drivers?? I'd say nV make a constraint so 3dMark won't run anymore on their cards, that'll teach FutureMark. And ya, I agree with Cota, benchmarks don't mean jack. Its the performance and quality in games that really matters. This is where I think nV will always be #1.

nVidia always said the NU was going to be a 12 pipe. The rest of the line are 16x, though

The 8700 score for the X800Pro seems a little low. The only "comparable" one that I could find is http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/ati_radeon_x800/page11.asp
It is a lot higher in the 9600 range

i dunno.. something is weird here. i have a much slower processor and have a much higher score:

3DMark Score 10115 3DMarks
CPU Score 683.0 CPUMarks

Hmm, looks like some sites need to update there information then. I have seen the 6800nu on around 3-4 sites for about £220 but being advertising with 16 Pipes! I didnt realise there was going to be a 12pipe product, i thought all 6800's were 16pipes just clocked down.

You know what. I was looking forward to either a GT or x800pro. This card has my attention though as its Price appears very attractive. I'm going to hold off as long as possible to see what kind of performance this 12 pipeline card can bring.

that score is pretty good for a Pentium4 2.4B and a 6800np

I have seen your score. Your board and cpu is clocked in such a high clockrate! I think the X800Pro score the site gave to us is based on default setting. But it is still a little bit lower than others, which are about 92xx-95xx.

another point is CAT4.5's score is lower than a previous Beta Cat!
