What do you people think is better

GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC3500 Golden Dragon CAS2.5
or
Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2

both around the same price, just curious to see what i should buy.

I know that I have had very good luck with Geil RAM in my Nforce2 board. I have been running 225FSB stable with it ever since I out it there. (Your talking about the Golden Dragon with the RED eye right?) The choice also depends on your mobo. If it likes the RAM it will OC like a mofo, if not you might only get a couple more MHZ's on your FSB.

GeiL is a great value for the money. I have the Golden Dragon PC3500. No problems at all running at the memory's advertised speed.

You can probably get better timings with the corsair.. Ive tried plenty of different types of memory, mushin, generic, corsair, hyperx, valueram... Corsair blows them all out of the water :) my DDR500 can do CL2.5.. Thats damn good for 500 mhz ;)

In summary, both are excellent choice.

I like them both.
But I'm using the Geil Ultra Plat 4000 in my rig and love it.
I've had my memory as high as 980Mhz and no problems.
It's rated at 1000 well, 500 1000 DDR.

I wish I had 1gig but I'm going to
wait for the next big upgrade before
I make the jump to 1gig.
512 does ok for what I use it for.
