Ok, I know i've requestd this but maybe someone's got more infor here,

some of the prgrammers at my work were discussing the possibility of the optimizations being more appearent in games that use greyscale lightmaps, like Unreal.

is this a bunch of **** or could it be true? Can anyone do tests?

I can do shots with my 9600 which uses the trilinear optimisation. What am I gunna compare it with tho. My 9800 is about 500km away in an office.. I think my g400 does trilinear.. wonder if it will work with Unreal... i'm thinking no.
