I did go there a while ago... Vampire was there... the reason I've been away from it since is that I have hardly spent any time at home... and IRC at work just isn't right...

I've been idling in there since MikeC put the info for the channel on the main page. Haven't chatted too much, but mainly because I've been so busy lately, getting ready for an upcoming work related trip..

My idle time doesn't manage to last that long (thanks a lot, Ameritech :p). But since I use Trillian, and since I set it up to auto-reconnect, if I drop, as soon as I can get back online / into the freenode server, I usually reappear back in the channel.

Once you have mirc go to options, connect and where the list of servers are click add, copy and paste one of the servers in the supplied link above into there and add the name so you can find it in the list at a later time. Press connect once you have selected it and then type /join #nvnews

Then you will see a bunch of nvidiots there:D

Right, I've got full name, e-mail address and nickname (do I need to fill in all of these?)

and for servers what do I put down for ports? :confused:
and do I put nVnews in group?

1. Type nvnews there

2. card.freenode.net.

3. Type nvnews again

Then scroll down the server list, select nvnews and connect:)
