In the 6800U launch event , we saw the list of the games thats going to support SM3.0 & they were :

1)LOTR:Battle of Middle earth
4)Splinter Cell X
5)Tiger Woods 2005
6)Madden 2005
7)Driver 3

my question is : i maybe not 100% sure that Driv3r wont support it ,, but what the hell is Painkiller is doing up there ?! that game dosent even support PS2.0 !!

I heard the same thing also. Mind you Pain killer is a fast paced game but yeah it doesn't even use PS2.0 never mind 3.0.

supporting ps 3.0 just means if they add an if then statement somewhere in the shader language they have 3.o support, the code never even has to be loaded though :P

it's possible that they would make a patch for it; or maybe a sequal.

not saying either would happen, just saying that it might not be what you think, heh

I thought that as strange also... I really doubt a sequel, because if that was true than it would say Painkiller 2 :) Remember though, the host guy said there are alot more titles, but they just can't reveal any info on them.

in the vidieo the host said something like "here are a few sm3.0 games coming out, and theres more that are unannounced or we cant speak about yet" so theres a possibility of a painkiller 2 they cant speak of, maybe a patch, or just more sm3.0 games we dont know about. (mag)

People Can Fly are going to release a SM3.0 Patch for painkiller.

launch video said everquest 2 was going to use it to didn't it ? eq2 is all that matters anyways, other games waste of $ to make :P

Serious Sam2 will support HDR 64bits FPblending.. in the Nv40.
SplintellCell3 too ,with Sm3.0. There might be games that Nvidia can't aannounce yet ,since they are still in development and still developers doesnt wish to announce it..

Serious Sam2 will also support 3DC... so either card will have its benefits.
