Upon closer look you'll notice that this particular card has a PCI Express x16 interface, but with no bridge chip. It looks like the rumors of a bridgeless NV45 were true.

wow the nv45 is a yawner .... i was hoping that there would have been more internal performance increases...... with all the rumors of ati releasing the r500 this year or the begining of next year .... i think this is an indication that the nv50 is closer then we think

A speed bump is expected but not just 50 MHz...more than that as has been speculated. but surely, there must be some architectural changes..ie fine tuning that is always expected on a refresh part ...(apart from th last speed bin refreshes from both NV and ATI ie NV38 and r380).

well 50mhz isnt a big deal, except, it is when they cant the 6800 series out the door.If they can get 50 mhz now, they ought to roll those changes into the nv40 to tide them over so they can do some real refinement and tuning to the nv45.I mean its somewhat late already, and with the I.B.M news about yeilds, its lookin like itll be awhile before theyre out in force, make those changes now.I know the development on the nv45 was right along with the nv40, and its probably to late to incoroprate those changes, but , if your gonna be late, as give us some suprises for being patient.

little birdie tells me that the NV45 targeted core speeds is much higher than that of the NV40 and is rumoured to be manufactured on low-k technology process. Click on the headline to see the pictures. ok i take my yawn back this is from the homepage ..... ok if this is low k then 50 higher probably for the a0 step and i would be willing to bet there is alot more head room to be had here ...... drooooolllllllll :jumping:
