I'm thinking to install a brand-new FX 5900XT on my linux box equipped whith an "old but efficient" Asus A7V 1.02 motherboard (KT133 & AGP4X).
Should I expect any incompatibility between 5900 and KT133 chipset? (somewhere in the net I read about problems due to AGP voltage). Anyone experienced whith 5900 and A7V?

ThanX

I had problems with my Kt133 and a 9500 Pro, But just because I had problems doesnt mean you will.

Only way to know is to test it Out, Wish I had better advice for you. I have found Most Nvidia cards to be chipset compatible than earlier variants of r300 cards however.

one thing to consider
the chipset & cpu will be a major bottleneck

Thanks for your reply. I bought the 5900 and everything is OK!! I set AGP aperture size ro 128; glxgears gives about 8000 FPS, I will try other tests!

Thanks to NVidia group for the great Linux support!!
