bfg cards are all being shipped overclocked for the 6800 series. the 6800 ultra series will be running at 425 mhz wit fan or water cooling.
anyone see a point in buying anyother brand ?

I'm waiting on BFG for sure.

I still love my BFG 5900nu, which OCed to faster than a 5950u from day one.

what cost ? there all suggested retail prices with overclocked speeds.

I could see buying the eVGA exteme or the gainwards over them if you want to pay more for an even faster card, but otherwise yeah, they pretty much just "1 upped" everyone.

BFG will have price specials.

Only a couple of months after the 5900nu was released I grabbed my BFG 5900nu from Best Buy for $249 with a $50 mail in rebate, so $200. I saw the same sale a few times after that.

evga and gainward will not be faster.
gainward will be fastrer with water cooling but not fan cooling.
evga is only fan cooling
fan cooling on the 6800 ultra = max 425 mhz
water cooling can do 450 or so.

only reason i'd buy evga now is if i won that drawing before bfg available.

Gainward and eVGA should be 230 mhz+, pluss possible slight increases in mem speed.

eVGA Ultra Extreme Edition is $550.00, while BFG's 6800u is $599.00

BFG's 6800u is $499. Your either seeing someone overcharge or your looking at one of their bundles, like the water cool bundle

If BFG follows it's own history template, it's 6800U will easily go faster than a 6800UE, and same thing for the GT to above a U.

If I was thinkin of gettin a new card, it would be BFG, no matter the price. Because no other company can beat their quality, or their true lifetime warranty. ;)

I've got to give kudos to BFG for shipping their cards at higher speeds than the others, but honestly I don't think you will come across too many cards that won't overclock 25Mhz anyways. That said, if 2 cards are the same price and one comes with the guaranteed factory overclock which one to buy is a no-brainer. But those 25Mhz wouldn't necessarily stop me from buying another brand, particularly if the other brand costed less.

Yea, I wish BFG made cards powered by ATI because I'd definately buy from them.

bah your paying an extra $100 for 25mhz ? whats that in real world performace ? 2fps ?? :)
