Should I? I really don't know if I should wait, or if I should take the plunge.

oh jeebus, do it already... ;)

If there was cake in front of you, would you eat it? ^^

well i guess it would depend what kind of cake it is, but i guess you could put it this way, if there was a hot supermodel in front of you, would you take her.... :retard: :screwy:

I dunno guys... I kinda wanted an x800xt... but but... Its hard not resisting the temptations of a 6800 Ultra! It is pretty expensive however.

well if it was me, i would jump on that faster then you could say ultra, but then again i love nvidia, i guess it kinda depends, on when you'll be able to get an XT, or which features of the two cards you like best

However, with the featureset, the GF6 is better. (Plus there's more headroom for driver speed enhancements.)

I personally think the 6800 would be a better choice, but that's just me.

I'll trade you my X800 Pro and throw in a box of HoHo's.

Have you tried unlocking the other 4 pipes?

come on jakup, we all know what you should do. :P Go for the 6800 Ultra :D I would if i were given the chance. Also, who better to give us a nice detailed report on how things go with the new drivers that are supposed to get a crazy perf boost, and other good things to come in the future from Nvidia... ;)

X800XT or 6800 Ultra, any way you go, they're both good cards, but the thought of the 6800 just has this awesome, new, never been touched feel to it.. :drooling:
Go for it :)

The shipping is not free. I just ordered it myself but they send email that says final confirmation and shipping date and estimated arrival will be sent in 24 hours. I'm waiting for that to be sure. The total is $462.36 which is about $8. cheaper than the pre-order at CompUsa I have.

I say go for it. It's a great card. The XT might be slightly faster...but the 6800 is fast enough, and hey, those drivers tomorrow might put it ahead of the XT?

Do you know when (and if) you'll be getting any more in? I think I'd feel better ordering from your store even if it's a little more expensive since I don't know anything about some of these other places that are selling them. Does your store accept online orders?

Cool
I wonder why some folks at R3D stated free shipping?
Supposedly some guys ordered overnight ( which obviously wouldn't be free)

They might of had a coupon maybe for free shipping. I didn't so I had to pay $7.50 plus sales tax which added another 20 bucks. After all the costs the XT costs me $100.00 more than my X800Pro.

It is free ground shipping. You need to add the coupon code clearly listed at check out.

Only one coupon code may be used per item.

Free Shipping (Ground Only) - Radeon X800XT 8X APG 256MB
Coupon Code = NOSHIPA
Minimum purchase should be $50 - Limited Time Offer.

I called the order in and got a 10% AAA discount and they upgraded me to 2nd day for $5.00.

Hmm... thanks I'll email customer service and see if they will give me the $7.50 back. But first I'll check on what kind of shipping that free shipping is, the one cent shipping at CompUsa took longer than normal it seemed to me.

Ground kind of sucks. If you call it in, you can usually get them to apply the Ground discount to another form of shipping, couldn't online.

I took the plunge as well. Also have a evga 6800U on order from gameve. Probably will end up selling one of them.

Do you know anything about gameve? Are they reputable or were you just taking a chance on them b/c you're tired of waiting?

IMHO, neither card is worth $580....you've waited this long, what is another week or so...but this is YOUR money we are talking about...
