so if carmack decided that geforcefx's run the arb path okay now... does that mean that vnidia and ati will run the game similar? besides the openGL stuff..

they would have run it similar IQ-wise anyways...

as far as speed goes I think its likely that nvidia will perhaps have a speed advantage looking @ ogl benches thus far...

otoh the ati products don't appear to be slouches @ high LOD and res on many games...
