I have a couple of working LCD monitors of a dead IBM thinkpad and a toshiba satellite, both 15"

Is there a guide to connect them to the vga out of my pc?

No, forget about it.. Its a non trivial exercise converting a laptop panel for use with a PC, and involves buying gear that will cost you more than just buying a new LCD. It is theoretically possible tho.

Ya I investigated myself, and it doesn't appear to be worth it from a financial standpoint. You're better off getting a CHEAP 14" or 15" LCD.

sigh...

too bad, I had hope it could be done.

thing is that it seems there is no standard for notebook panels, all the ones I've seen have diferent conectors.

Still I'll keep doing some research, maybe something can be done.
