hmmm for some reason i can get up to 450 core clock now

Sgt_Pitt, what's the CPU clock?

well its a 1.8 and now its 2.36Ghz i upped it a bit since last time, was 2.25, i seem to pushing this cpu badly (but it loves it :P)

The bus speed is now 4x131= 524FSB and ram is well im not sure about the ram i have 3 sticks 2 x 128meg@333mhz and 1 x 256meg@333mhz in SiSoft Sandra it claims the data rate is 2 x 218 = 436 mhz .

Im totally confused with O/Cing my Mb/ram/card/cpu combo, but ill take 450mhz on my vid card (i just hope it doesnt burn out :P)

that's a pretty good score, especially on a slow cpu,
congratulations.

LOL thats a 560 mhz increase to the cpu, im expecting it to melt soon  but ive had it for a while and its been good to me with the o/cing

Anyway my point was with the old drivers i couldnt put the vid card core speed above 420, now i can get 449, thats a big increase, are these new drivers responsible ?

when i test the settings in the nv panel, it used to come back with an error warning about stability, now with 61.40 it lets me increase the core with no warning errors?

anyone else o/c thier core higher with these drivers ?

my friend can OC a little higher than you:

he didn't mention any difference on OC capability on different drivers.
BTW, does your board use 1.6ns or 2ns RAM?

Sweet ! whats your temp@450 under load ??

48c-49c hasnt hit 50 yet

wOOt i just ran 3d mark again and got 12064 :P

49c because the card is clocked @449Mhz .. 450Mhz will get you into the 50c & so on ;)

seriously though ... this proves the efficent cooling for the 6800 . that was my first concern for o/c since i'm living in a hot place .

& congrats for the 12k break !

Hey, I got a similar speed cpu as yours. Mine P4 1.6A -> 2.3GHz
Great scores ! :)

lol, i just had to try the max setting, just then i got 461mhz core/1.25 mem any higher and it wont work, ive hit the peak of the card with normal cooling conditions, mind you im in melbourne here and winter has just started, so its pretty chilly here, im sure in the summer ill be lowering the frequencies.

Hey I live in Sydney. What brand of card do u have and where did you get it. Mine is a S-Media (Nvidia reference) and I got it from auspcmarket.

Also what ram modules did you get on your card, the 2ns or the 1.6ns.....mine has the 2ns modules and it won't clock past 1.24GHz. Bit bummed cause all these 6800U should have the 1.6ns modules to run at 1100MHz which would be within spec....bummed about that.

same as mine cant get past 1.24 so i must have the slower ones.

Computerworld are in sydney they stock MSI NX6800u

I was always able to hit 450mhz on the core.. .however, teh later drivers dont run stable at 1.3ghz for the memory... 1.29 works great though... except in ut2004, i still cant fix that freezing problem :(

I wonder why the Core is lower for the 6800 than the 5950? Nice Memory clocks though!

hmmm... I wonder if a 500mhz core is possible with water cooling...

I believe the guy who got 17K hit 500mhz on the core

awww sweet nectar!

were there other benches made?

that was watercooled right? had to have been...

didn't the INQ post something a while back stating that 450 couldn't be reached with plain old air cooling? what a bunch of crap.

It was a cascade setup, extremely OC'ed P4EE @ like 4.5ghz or something... the cpu was @ -93 and the gpu ws @ -99 ... :drooling:

I believe he hit over 600MHz on the core. :)

But us average guys will never see that. I brought this card for gameing and in my mind overclocking is something I never realy persue due to it's increased rick of card failure and system instability.

I want a gameing rig not a one off 3DMark run mines bigger than yours wank rig.
