He's using 6800Ultra with 61.60 driver, I don't know if this solution works for other nVIDIA cards/drivers, anyone take a try?

I thought using the R3** path removed all the artifacts :/

There's another workaround posted in one of the threads. I think Maficar posted the solution. It involved setting the in-game lighting to very high, going into the Far Cry directory and moving the shaders1.pak file into another folder and re-running the game.
