View Full Version : Give me a break
Ok, so I am reading this article (http://www.realcities.com/mld/krwashington/8883933.htm) on the arrival of president Reagan to DC and I come across this paragraph.
As the motorcade sped through a black neighborhood on its route from the Maryland suburbs to Washington, residents lined the highway and waved.
What the heck is this even doing in there? Why did that have to be mentioned. This is terrible reporting.

Pretty obvious case of media bias here!
"Gee, is that Reagan's corpse trundling thru a black neighborhood?!?"
"It sure is ... better write that down! It's good copy practice! It'll make ya a fine editor here someday!"
The point that they had to mention that they speed through the "black" neighborhood. That is sad. All they had to do is say the president made the journy form the airport to the capital building or something like that but no they had to get on elast jab at the president.
