If it doesn't ship today, I'll probably cancel it. Could try some A/B testing to see which is better. Otherwise, I'll have one to eBay!

Well I just preorderd from buyxtremgear.com for an Evga 6800 ultra. Now we'll see which one ships first the PNY one from Compusa that email said wont ship till 6/28 or the Evga one from xtremgear that says should ship on 6/15. Difference in price was minimal. Compusa was 533.50 which inluded taxes since theres a few stores in my state and Xtremgear was 545 with no shipping charge or taxes

do I even want to know how much the BFG 6800 was?? :D

Nice card tho.. Good to see a few more people getting their hands on em! Hopefully things will just get better from here. I'm feeling a little more optimistic after what I have heard and read recently.

If you check his link, it would have mentioned 580 as the cost

yes, I can see that.. It was a joke.. These are great cards, but thats a hell of a lot of money to be a few moths ahead of the curve.. I'll wait a bit longer I think.

hey, if you can afford it, why not? I have no problem with that.. I just can't bring myself to buy at the cutting edge anymore.. I got over that after spending $4000 on a 486 with 16mb of ram, only to see a pentium 75 running doom twice as smooth as my machine 3 months later..

Neither had I! At least that's what it states in the Read Me.

Still waiting on my Gainward to come out, can't be the fact that they are hand selecting some of the GPU for there product, gives an edge over ATI.

My plan is to start w/ the 61.34 without the DX 9.0c at first to see what it's like. Then install the 9.0c then move on to other drivers.

Lookin' good there, now just time to fire it up and test out the results! I wish my pc was as clean inside as yours though.

Just takes a little practice! Owning Macs has spoiled me on having a neat 'puter!
