The game looks pretty good. Hopefully there isn't too much "you vs. soldiers" combat. I'm pretty bored of that type of game.
I do like what I have seen so far of it though. The scripted sequences remind me of Half-Life.
Gah, any place to actually download it without a subscription? I don't think my 56k would be able to stream that video very well.

Well that's super. They make you sign up for a stupid account before downloading it, THEN all you can suddenly do is stream it. :lame:

what if a say you'll be fighting soldiers that can jump like mad and also walk from the ceiling. There's also ghosts that appear for a second and gone after the light flickers in the room.

Oh, didn't you hear? They canceled the PC version of the game, it's now an Xbox-exclusive.
Hehe, kidding, kidding, but yeah, this game is now one of my most-looked-forward-to PC games. Though to be honest I always get very bored with Monolith's shooters, they all seem so generic and repeatative. But it does look like it has some cool elements, and the graphics are nice, so I'll definatly check it out. What's the (supposed...) release date on this game? I'd have to guess somewhere around mid-2005 to be honest, I just can't see it coming out this year when the game was just announced not that long ago (especially considering most FPS games are announced like 2 years before they come out ;)).

If you want to download them.
This game will be awesome. Yikes, scary little girl. :D
Gah, is there any place that lets you download it WITH A DOWNLOAD RESUMER? Grr, that angers me more than anything, it's like they expect 56k users to keep their connection on for 24 straight to download a single file (well, OK, so they just don't expect 56k users to download the file, but it's still annoying!).
Edit: Oh, cancel that, now it seems to work with Getright even though it kept giving me "server busy" errors (even though it never had a problem when I tried downloading it in IE). Yay, maybe now I can actually see this game in motion.
Edit 2: OK, that download site sucks. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it gives me a "server busy" or "cannot find file" error. Sheesh, what ever happened to the direct-link method? Oh well, beggers can't be choosers, I guess.

Does not look like the D3 engine. The shadows are different. But the game play looks interesting. (the video did spook me out...)
Custom-designed engine, from the sound of it. Looks like it's replacing the old Lithtech platform.
Yes it actually is new engine, the slow motion grenade effects look really cool. Can't wait for this one ;)
Just saw the video (well, the last part of it anyway). Looks interesting, but the gameplay looks kinda disapointing. Sort of looks generic, but still could be good. Graphics didn't seem all that great except in cut-scenes and places with easilly noticable shadows. Was cool the way he did a slow-motion kick though, actually the way he did it kinda reminds me of Breakdown on the Xbox. The little girl is of course creepy. Just hope it has a good story to it, a few of the enemies looked interesting (nice to see the AI is actually sneaky by trying to climb onto ceiling panels and stuff), so if they put the rest of the game togeather it could turn out very good. Oh, it's also nice to see that the main character actually has a shadow, I hope other games impliment this feature (I loved the player shadow in Thief: DS and Riddick).
