Nothing like a clean slate to restore order and banish chaos!

Glad to see nV taking shape again... we live in sad times when a juvenile can wreck about 10 person-years of hard work in 90 minutes...

Envy News should be up and running in about 48 hrs - we only had a partial backup, and i'm to blame for that. However, a week of hard work from kb244 and myself, with premium assistance from Joerg helped to restore the site back to an esthetically pleasing and functional one.

However - we've put the technology in place to catch our next hackers. We're down for a week exclusively for its reconstruction - one day was spent to patch security holes and lay some 'hacker traps'. Mark my words - the next script-kiddie or Hacker that phucks with nV or Envy will be investigated and prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law. Erasing server logs and VPN-hopping won't protect you. I've had enough of this pointless cyber-grafitti and vandalism. Screwing with our server is a premeditated terrorist attack - we WILL contact international authorities. We will authorize an investigation. We will press charges, and have you prosecuted.

If it wasn't for a chance stop at 3DGPU after Nv wouldn't resolve, I'd have not known about this place getting hacked. 3DPGU is a decent place and I'd become more of a regular there if their forums weren't so slow. :(

And Neil, give any future script kiddies and good kick in the ass for me! :mad: ;) While this place was down, I felt naked and found myself actually bored at my desk in the wee hours of the morning.
