ok, on the front page i noticed this comment Pelly: Per usual, there is some controversy regarding Tom's Hardware Guide and a timeline they posted ( referenced by Hardware Connect ). Evidently, the timeline still lists future Thoroughbreds as having the "old" 266FSB. Wow, nothing like a reliable news source...

what exactly is wrong with his roadmap? AFAIK this is the newest one AMD has provided anywhere(ie, with Barton and Hammer correctly being listed for next year)

this is actually the SAME roadmap i saw yesterday at a presentation made by AMD. and yes, the rep noted that same FSB issue as being outdated and incorrect. but if even AMD employees don't have correct roadmaps you expect TH to have one

Hmm....strange that AMD has millions to spend on PR and such, but can't afford to pay someone for 30seconds of work to keep their documentation updated...

Regardless, I'll go research it and if this proves legit....the comment will be removed....

Actually, I'll remove it until I can see otherwise...

Thanks for bringing this to my attention...

:D

Wow...I've seen about a dozen different roadmaps and each only lists the 266FSB Thoroughbreds. In my opinion, that it absolutely pathetic...a company their size ( and with their reputation ) should certainly have up-to date documentation and presentations...

In this case, THG is innocent....and I apologize.....

:D

indeed, i was surprised myself that the roadmaps had not been updated yet. i guess that's because we can't actually buy 333FSB Athlons yet :p :(
