Anyone got a good link for a services list/trim guide? I want to trim down my services but the only link I have is this one:
http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/winxp_services/index.shtml

Is this a good guide vs. the others out there?

Is trimming services a good idea when you're using sp2 rc2? I wonder if I can disable the "security center" service or if that's a bad idea.

You could always re-enable it if it gives you trouble. :p ;)

I do know that disabling some of those services will prohibit you from accessing Windows Update. So be careful with what you choose. :)

Riptide,

Try Blackviper's site. It is very well done and tells you what each service does etc.
