What are the 5.1 surround speakers for gaming? I found some Logitech 6.1 surround speakers for $65

As DaveA said, best speakers at what price point? If you want the best, go with eaither Klipsch or the GigaWorks S700's. For something a little cheaper, the MegaWorks 550.

if it were 4.1 vs. 5.1, do you guys think that it'd make much of a difference with one extra channel devoted to center?

btw, i have a Logitech Z-560 4.1. they rock...literally. if you can find them for around 100, you have yourself a good deal.
